This logo (Mano) represents the Spirit and the Power (Mana) of the Hawaiian People and their culture throughout our world. It is the Hawaiian Martial Arts that Makua Steve Spry has learned and teaches at his studio and around the world through his videos and seminars.

These Self Defense systems came from the Hawaiian Islands and are known as American Kenpo, Lua, Lima Lama, Jujitsu and Aikido. These arts were taught to Makua Steve Spry from the Hawaiian Masters of those Arts. They are passed down from father to son as all things of value are in the Hawaiian ‘Ohana for generations.

The Shark, Mano to some Hawaiians, represents the ‘Aumakua, God or internal spirit. Around the early 100’s AD, Polynesians of the past had traveled from East Asia though Indonesia looking for the Promised Land. Some of the Polynesians turned to their Mano to guide them to this land, Hawaii. People throughout this world respect this Man O Kai, the shark of the sea.
